You’re Important
There was a song on Sesame Street a long time ago. It went like this:
You’re important, you’re important,
Anybody can see,
You’re important, you’re important,
You mean a lot to me.
I used to sing it to my boys all the time. Imagine an enthusiastic but not very talented singer and you’ll pretty much have the picture. Then, many years later, I realized, Mikey thought I was saying ‘airportant’ but I am sure he still got the positive affirmation since the airport is one of his favorite places!
For Michael’s whole life (until waiting in line became his least favorite thing), he has loved planes. He was an enthusiastic and polite flyer and he loved to watch planes take off and land.
So, when Planes came out, a movie by the makers of Cars, we were all over it. As usual, we did a theme day and Mikey did an activity book based on the movie later in the day.
Whatever you choose to do today, remember, you’re airportant!
