Whistle

Whistle title, whistle emoji and a stylized photo of Mikey whistling
Such a sweet sound from my not-so-little buddy.

On this Flash Forward Friday, I encourage you to look for the signals your child sends you, especially those that let you know they are happy, content, or at ease.

flash forward Friday post. "I like to whistle." photo of Mikey whistling
How does your special kiddo let you know they’re feeling good?

One way Mikey expresses his contentment and calm is to whistle.  It is a sweet habit that harkens back to a simpler time.  His whistling reminds me of my grandparents’ generation before society sped up to the frenzied pace of today.

Maybe our Mikey is an old soul. It wouldn’t surprise me one bit.
