Use What They Know

When journaling with your child, use what they know and build on it. Mikey knew how to describe the weather, so we often used that when helping him to build sentences for his journal.

Entries like this one also help to build your child’s understanding of how the weather impacts our activity choices. If it is stormy and not safe to be outside, we can be cozy on our couch.
It makes me happy just thinking about it.
