Unbelievable

stylized photo of mikey walking with his winter jacket, backpack and blue umbrella
Slightly broken umbrella? No problem.

If your child brings this journal entry to class, there will be kids who share that they aren’t allowed to play outside in the rain.

journal entry from March 27. "I love to be outside in the rain. it makes me happy." 2 photos of Mikey smiling and walking with a big smile and a slightly broken umbrella
Although Mikey usually hand writes his journal, he gave typing a try on this one and liked it!

Parenting has become so protective, that many kids don’t spend much time playing outside at all. These same kids will likely have access to technology at a young age because it is less likely to result in physical injury.

The problem with this parenting approach is that both choices harm the mental health of the kids.

Down with Instagram and up with playing in the rain!!!
