Ugly Sweater Day

Around the holidays, there are so many spirit days at school (days when the kids dress up as something, wear something special, or have a crazy hair style). Sometimes it is tough to keep up with all of it, especially when you might not have the stuff on hand.
Ugly Christmas sweaters have become enough of a thing to make it worth having one. I should say, you could probably take an old sweater you have in the house and sew things onto it to make it an ugly Christmas sweater, but as you know, crafting is not my strong suit.
Planning, however, is right up my alley…so, about eight years ago, there was an XXL Grinch Christmas sweater on sale at Target and I grabbed it.

Although some things about Mikey are tricky for me, sometimes he makes things super easy. He is perfectly happy to wear the same ugly sweater to school every year on Ugly Sweater Day. In fact, he prefers the sameness over novelty in almost every situation.
So, as we flash forward on this Friday, I share Mikey wearing the one and only Ugly Christmas sweater he has ever owned.
