Thursday Thoughts…

One happy guy!

Sometimes, happiness just comes naturally. The kids are playing, there is giggling and silliness and a general atmosphere of fun.  All is right with the world.

But

There are phases in your child’s development in which it is tough to have a whole good day.  That might sound discouraging, but here is a strategy that truly works, shared by Happiness Project.

visual aid showing a day broken down into smaller and smaller pieces. "When things are hard, take it day by day. If that's too much, take it hour by hour. If that's too much, take it minute by minute." @happinessproject

Just try to find a few good minutes.  Those good minutes provide the encouragement you and your child need to keep going.

And those good minutes tend to multiply like rabbits.  Happiness feeds happiness.

If you’re having the worst day, and let’s face it, they happen…

You Can:

  • Break out the bubbles (not the champagne, blow some bubbles)
  • Or play with the hose
  • Or go get some ice cream
  • Or head to the park
  • Or put on a favorite movie

Remember

You’re the leader of this group…lead the horses to happiness!

I’m pretty sure that’s how that saying goes. Wink, wink.
