The Vet

This journal entry made me do a double take. The puppy looks so much like Sonny as a baby and the black lab looks like him now! This may be the moment the seed was planted for us to someday get ourselves a beautiful black lab.
But, at the time, we were bringing our dog Ruby to the vet. She was full of love but was sick often. Mikey loved to help take her to her doctor and make sure she was okay. He is a true animal lover and he would pet and comfort Ruby during these appointments. What a good egg!
I think Mikey’s bond with Ruby helped to foster his nurturing side. She gave us so many gifts, but her bond with Mikey and Will was by far the best. She was loyal and loving to her boys every day of her life and Mikey never missed a vet visit with her…he stayed right by her side.

At no point ever, will we be getting a cat of any color, size or disposition…not gonna happen. Sorry, cat people.
