The Great Frog Race

Our Wednesday Wisdom this week comes from me.  Before I share it, I need to tell you a little story. I was friends with my high school English teacher on Facebook. Before he passed away, he would share a poem with us each Tuesday and I loved it! The week before, he had asked us to share some of our favorite children’s verses. I sent him the one below and I was so happy and proud that he chose it to share the next week.

Text only, except for a frog and green hearts to obscure the name.
text only

This poem encapsulates my experience as a boy mom. I plan. I gather supplies. It isn’t easy. I put in some serious effort.  And then they hop off happily in whatever direction strikes their fancy. And I wouldn’t miss it for the world. So, here’s my sage advice…my Wednesday Wisdom if you will.

Go in peace, my friends. I hope some of your chaos gives you a good laugh today!

Dedication

This post is dedicated (with a wink and a smile) to DP, my English teacher, soccer coach, softball coach and Godspell director. I graciously thank him for putting up with me and my own little dose of chaos. He is missed.
