Teacher Check-In

Now that a bit of time has passed since the first day of school, I have a timely tip this Tuesday. It may make sense to reach out to your child’s classroom teacher, special education teacher or BCBA to see how things are going.
I suggest a check-in because it makes sense to be in contact regularly and because you don’t want the first time you call to be negative. Scheduling a call just to check in and see how the start of the year is going provides a foundation for the relationship to grow over time.
This is a great time to ask if the teacher needs anything from you: either for your child or for the classroom in general. Building a good relationship with the school team can only help your child.
