Strawberries

LAST DAY OF SCHOOL!!! WOOHOO!!! Wait, now I’m on duty 24/7. Oh, boy! Let’s get outside and start tiring out these crazy kids.

We picked our strawberries and headed home for a snack. Full disclosure: despite the sweet, juicy, wonderfulness of these fresh strawberries, Mikey would only eat them with powdered sugar sprinkled on top. He refuses to eat them without ‘snow’ or whipped cream. These are his conditions and they must be met.
One year we tried making chocolate covered strawberries and Mikey would only eat the chocolate off the outside…the kid knows what he wants and will not be persuaded.
If you’d like to try a pick-your-own fruit outing with your kiddos, ask on your local facebook group. Your neighbors will know how to point you in the right direction. Happy picking!!
