So Tired

A major part of my parenting strategy that I have yet to discuss is tiring out the kids and the dogs. I used the dogs to tire out the kids and the kids to tire out the dogs so that by the end of the day, I had a fighting chance of getting them to go to bed. This only helped in minor ways to get my kids to sleep through the night, but that’s a post for another day.

On this day, Mikey threw the ball to Ruby…apparently many, many times. I was likely sitting outside with them, drinking my afternoon coffee during this time…which I was probably using to make sure I stayed awake at least until my kids went to bed (so there was some supervision in between yawns).
Remember, this is a marathon, not a sprint. Just good enough, my friends…that’s all we need to be. We’ve got this!
