Shopping, Again?!?

My Thursday Thoughts this week focus on grocery shopping…because it feels like it is a part time job. When I had two teenage boys in the house, it sometimes felt like all I did was shop for groceries, carry the groceries inside, unload the groceries, cook them into meals and then hear the dreaded question: “Why is there no food in the house?” It was nuts!
So, Mikey and I made it an activity. We’d go to the grocery store together and make a fun outing of it. I could get what the family needed and he could pick out some extra things that he liked.

In truth, my boys and Dave always help me carry the groceries in when they are around. If your family doesn’t offer, speak up. I sometimes even send a text letting them know I’m coming home in ten minutes with a giant load of groceries and I could use some help. They are sometimes waiting in the garage, ready to unload, when I get back.

I guess apple juice was on sale! LOL
