Run, Spin and Dance

Stylized photos of Mikey running, spinning and dancing with 70’s waves added for fun and a title that says groovy

The other day, I was looking at social media and an account I follow posted something to the effect of, “The Best Exercise for Longevity and Mental Health.”  So, of course, I clicked the link. The attached article basically said, “Whatever you will show up to do consistently.”

Well, duh…but on second thought, when your child depends on physical activity to get a good night’s sleep, this advice is profound. It is why there was never a ‘no running’ rule in my house, but rather a ‘take your socks off so you don’t slip’ rule.

journal entry: “At night, I like to run laps, spin and dance.” Mikey running, spinning and dancing barefoot.

Whatever way they like to move, let them move!
