Puddle Jumping

Unless it was unsafe to be outside, we played outside every day. Here in Connecticut, that means we were outside unless it was a thunderstorm, too icy to walk or there were very high winds (we’re surrounded by trees that tend to lose limbs or come down during high winds). So, on this particular day it was just raining. Mikey had on his rain jacket and boots and he headed out to find some good puddles!

This is a perfect example of how easily kids can create fun. Unfortunately for me, Mikey was in the front yard so I needed to be out in the rain with him to make sure he didn’t follow the puddles all the way down the driveway to the road. Getting soaked was a small price to pay to watch his joy finding every bit of mud our front yard had to offer. He had a blast!
