Presidents’ Day Break

stylized photo of Mikey in a bright oragne tee shirt and black athletic pants jumping on a big area filled with trampolines

Our school district had an extended long weekend every year for Presidents’ Day. They’d have a half day on Friday, Monday off for the holiday and then they would add Tuesday as a bonus day. They called it winter break (not to be confused with the holiday break in December). Mikey wrote one journal entry at the end of the break, but I ‘broke’ it up so we could write about each part of the fun.

See what I did there? Wink…’breaking’ up the journal entry on school break. Yeah, not great. It’s possible i need more coffee.

Photo of mikey pasted on line paper, Mikey jumping on the trampoline at sky zone, labeled sky zone in mom’s handwriting.

Of course, we spent the afternoon at sky zone on the first half day of break.  Before we had a trampoline in our backyard, we were often at our local trampoline park.  It was a great way to get out our wiggles before we settled in for a cozy night at home.

Winter break, off to a jumpin’ start!
