Pop-A-Shot

swish graphic with two stylized photos of Mikey shooting the basketball.
This one hung on the wall, but there are inexpensive basketball hoops you can hang on any door.

Sometimes a journal entry pops up and I can’t believe we haven’t shared it with you yet.  Pop-A-Shot was one of our family favorites!  I think I still have a score sheet written by Will in his childhood keepsake bin.

journal entry for February 9. "I shot baskets in my basement." photos of the Fold-A-Hoop and Mikey shooting the basketball.
I am just now realizing that it is called Fold-A-Hoop, but I’m sticking with Pop-A-Shot!

I’m not a technology shamer…my kids watched TV and played video games.  That said, my own experience is that, aside from family TV viewing (think sports and great movies), most technology has left my kids sadder and more easily frustrated.  Activities that existed when we were kids tend to leave them happier, more peaceful and more tired.  Whenever you can, get back to basics with your kids.  You’ll be glad you did.
