Polar Bear Club

What are we, nuts? Each year, we all get in the cold pool on the last weekend day it is open to see who can stay in the longest. The trophy is a plastic bowl, turned upside down with a stuffed polar bear in an igloo glued on top. The name of the winner gets written on the base of the trophy with sharpie. We are nothing if not a high-class operation.

It was all good fun and was a family tradition that we all happily gave up after five or six years. It was fun while it lasted, but honestly, that water is really cold!
