Point Pleasant

VW Bus sticker, summer lovin' sticker and two photos: one of Mikey in the waves with Dave and one of mikey on a boardwalk ride with me.
Not quite ready to let go of the summer fun yet.

One of Mikey’s favorite phrases is ‘summer fun’ which he uses interchangeably with ‘so much fun’ – it sounds a little like ‘so-ma-fun’! We got in one more day of summer fun, even though the school year was already back in full swing.

Dave’s family is from New Jersey.  Sometimes, we’d drive down for the day, let the boys run around and play on the beach and then meet up with some or all of Dave’s family at a local restaurant for an early dinner.  By then, the kids would be happy and tired. Then we’d make the drive back up to Connecticut in time for bed.

If you’ve been reading along since the beginning, you know we love a good September beach day because it’s less crowded and still beautiful. I’ve linked my original post below.

journal entry from September 20 2014. We went to the beach, boardwalk and aquarium. Point Pleasant, NJ Photo of Mikey in the foamy part of the waves with Dave, sitting in a boardwalk ride with me and posing in front of a seal in the tank at the aquarium.
Chilly salt water, boardwalk rides and seals…what a great day!

We made Point Pleasant beach a tradition for a few years in a row because they have a beautiful beach, a boardwalk and a fun little aquarium.  It made for a day packed with fun and happy memories!

We extended the summer fun by adding one more beach day!
