Pasta, Red Sauce, Parmesan Cheese

Pasta with marinara sauce is one of Mikey’s all-time favorite meals! This is exactly how he asks for it, “pasta, red sauce, parmesan cheese.” He says it with such gusto, you can almost imagine him saying, “For the love of moses, don’t forget the cheese!!”

For your reference, I try to vary the shape of the pasta he eats. This just helps him maintain a minimal level of flexibility around food. I also make sauce at home, buy Rao’s marinara and order out pasta with red sauce so he is used to some variety in the sauce.
When I buy Rao’s marinara, I put it in the blender because Michael prefers a smoother sauce (in other words, no big chunks of tomato or basil for our buddy).
Here’s a link to a post about Mikey helping to make the red sauce.
