Outdoor Movie Night
The projector and screen for the outdoor movie night were Dad purchases…did I even need to type those words or were you already figuring as much? Although I anticipated a bug-filled disaster, I was totally wrong! We LOVED the outdoor movie experience and have done it many times since.
Things to Consider
You need to wait for the late summer sunset to start the movie since there needs to be a dark environment for the projector to work. Outdoor movie night needs to be an exception to the bedtime rules.
There will be bugs, so bug spray is a must. You can also set up citronella candles if it is a particularly buggy night.
It gets chilly up here in CT, even on a summer night. If it’s the same where you are, have the kids wear long pajamas and hoodies and bring out some light blankets or beach towels for warmth.
Then sit back, relax and enjoy the show.
