Outdoor Go Bag

Making it easier to take advantage of the beautiful weather and sunshine!

My Saturday Suggestion is to have a bag ready to go in your car or by the door at home allows you to head out without stress or headache, knowing you will be prepared for your child’s needs.

Here are some ideas of what you might want to include:

  1. Sunscreen
  2. Bug spray
  3. Sun hat
  4. Portable fan (they have rechargeable ones now).
  5. Water bottles
  6. Fidget toys
  7. A blanket to sit on (especially if your child has sensory avoidance).
  8. Coloring book with pencils or markers (crayons melt in hot cars – gross).
  9. A snack or two
  10. Sunglasses

Having stuff like this ready allows you to easily leave the house without worrying that you will forget something important.

I know parenting a child with special needs makes every outing more complicated, but I hope these little tips and tricks make your life just a little bit easier.
