October 31st

stylized photo of Mikey and his friend S dressed in their halloween costumes and a stylized photo of Mikey walking ahead of me in the darkness. Halloween stickers scattered throughout.

Mikey was up for Halloween this year! He was dressing up as a ghostbuster, and I added glow sticks to his proton pack so I could find him more easily in the crowd of trick or treaters.

journal entry from halloween. “At night, I went trick or treating with S. It was fun but cold. When i got tired, we went home and made a fire.

The proton pack was inflatable, so it was very light to carry, and the ghostbusters suit was loose-fitting and went over Mikey’s usual sweatpants and hoodie. But, as always, when Mikey was done, we packed it up and went home for cozy time. That space to decompress after excitement is important for my little Ghostbuster.

Mikey smiling with his ghostbuster costume on, “i had a great Halloween!"

Added Bonus

I thought you might find my Facebook post from that Halloween fun. It includes a flashback!

facebook post. “halloween 2007 and 2015…scary how time is flying.” photo of 3 year old Mikey as tigger, 4 year old Will as a pirate and a photo of the boys together as 5th and 7th graders (mikey dressed as a ghostbuster and will dressed as a pac man ghost)

Time still feels like it’s flying! Happy Halloween, Friends!
