Night Swimming

Mikey loves the pool, but in recent years, he has mostly opted to swim once the sun is starting to set. I’m not sure if the glare on the water bothers him (he refuses to wear sunglasses so we can’t test the theory). The other possibility is that the pool is often empty then and he can have it to himself (I still supervise from the side). It’s quiet out there at that time of day and just from watching him, I can testify – it is quite zen.

Most people like to swim during the day when it’s hot. Mikey’s not most people. That’s cool. He can let us know what he wants, and we can honor his request. To each his own.
