Mythbusters

Will and Michael, each on their own couch, watching Mythbusters with the faces of the show's hosts superimposed on stick figures.
Mythbusters definitely makes the Mauro Family's Top 5 Family Shows.

I loved the Mythbusters phase of our lives! Both boys would watch it. It was fun and exciting and it demonstrated the scientific method in every episode. I felt like it was the most accessible version of science, engineering, physics and problem solving.

Mikey's journal entry from November 21, 2013. this weekend I watched Mythbusters with my brother. That's his favorite show.
Michael enjoyed writing and he also liked watching other people write. If he requested I write for him, I usually obliged.

It was cool that Mikey would join Will when he was watching it, even though the content was beyond what he could really grasp.  I loved that Will always welcomed him and they could enjoy it together.

Family TV Shows

True family TV shows were rare for us…outside of sports, of course. I can probably count them on one hand. We all loved Halloween Wars, The Great Christmas Light Fight, Wipeout and Mythbusters…I may be forgetting a couple, but it was tough to please everyone in our house all at the same time.

So, these few shows that we all really enjoyed bring back lots of happy memories. Thanks, Mythbusters!
