Morning Walk

Walking with weight is a great sensory activity! Mikey does it every morning before school. He puts on his backpack and walks in a big circle around our driveway while he waits for the bus. It gets him centered and ready to start his day. He loves it!
So much so, that on rainy days, we need to pull out the umbrellas and head right out into the rain to walk our laps. He has a change of clothes at school in case his rain jacket and umbrella have not quite done the trick.

This activity, like so much of our lives, lends itself to silliness quite well.
