Mimi

It’s hard for me to express how happy these photos make me. They encapsulate the joy Mimi and Michael found in each other as well as the comfort they had when they were together.

This was Will’s third year on the swim team and five practices a week was getting to be A LOT! The whole family was getting worn down by it, even Will and this turned out to be his last year on the team.
My mom, without being asked, drove almost an hour each way just to be with us. She made Mikey smile, made me feel seen, cheered for Will and allowed Dave to focus on work, knowing we were all taken care of. She was such a gem!
Just today, I was cooking dinner (which often makes me think about her). I had the strongest urge to pick up the phone and call her. She’s been gone for almost seven years and her impact on our lives was so big that I still want to call her, tell her about my day and ask her advice. Well played, Mimi!
