Making Spirits Brite!

Stylized photo of Mikey playing lite bride in front of the tree.
This classic toy is great for strengthening the muscles used for a pencil grip.

We’re flashing forward this Friday to see teenage Mikey living his best life.  When everything out in the world is busy and crowded, he likes to sit quietly by his Christmas tree and play Lite Brite!

Mikey had to wait until he was older to get Lite Brite because he put lots of things in his mouth when he was younger.

Mikey is reminding us to do the holidays our way.

Note

The age recommendations on the side of the toy boxes don’t really apply to our kids. For example, lite brite says ages 4+ but when Mikey was as old as middle school, he still put lots of things in his mouth and these little pegs look an awful lot like candy. Since, in my view, the whole point of these toys is to allow our kids to have safe, independent fun, I would wait until you’re sure a toy is safe for your child before buying.
