Made Ornaments

stylized photos of mikey working on his ornaments with strings of ornaments added for effect

Our Christmas tree is decorated each year with three main types of ornaments.

  1. Family heirlooms passed down from Dave’s family and mine.
  2. Fun ornaments we have given each other as gifts or stocking stuffers.
  3. Ornaments made by Mikey and Will (when he was little).

It is not a Christmas window display tree, but it’s jam packed with love and goodness!

journal entry: “i worked on making ornaments to give as gifts.” 3 photos of mikey working with the red, white and gold puffy paint pens to fill in plastic ornaments.

Mikey gives his ornaments as teacher gifts each year.  We also leave a basket out at home so visitors can take an ornament as a little favor. And, now that Mikey is our sole ornament maker, each year, Will or Dave or I pick one that we’ll keep on our own Christmas tree for years to come. And yes, at least one of these is still on our tree today.

Treasures, hand made by Mikey. Love that!
