Lighten the Invisible Load

Jordyn’s Summer Shirt Project makes a tee shirt that says, “Just because you carry it well, doesn’t mean it isn’t heavy.” I know your mental load is heavy. You’re keeping track of birthdays, doctor’s appointments, therapy recommendations, teacher conferences, PPT Meetings, milestones, vaccinations. It just goes on and on and on.
I know how heavy the load can feel. But I have also met parents on this journey who seem to make their load heavier with constant fear and focus on the negative. They are always in a state of anxiety, and they seem to find it much easier to predict the negative outcome than to visualize a positive future.
An old friend from elementary school shared this on Instagram and I took a screenshot to share it with you all.

What choice can you make today that will lighten your invisible load? How can you push out some of the negativity and make room for hope and light and joy?
Stay in the light, my friends. You’ll feel better and your kids will feed off of your positive energy. You’ve got this!
