Light Display

Season of joy and light? Check!

We had our fantastic day at the aquarium. We saw Polar Express. We grabbed dinner and the kids were still going strong.  My friend knew of a cool walk-through light display put on by a family in Norwalk so off we went.

continuation of yesterday's journal entry..."and an awesome light display" a handprinted sign that has a countdown 'till Christmas. The kids posing in front of the lights. Our friends' faces obscured by a Merry, Merry, Merry sign and a gnome holding a sign saying Merry Christmas.
So. Stinkin’. Fun.

This was a perfect ending to Mikey’s ‘best day ever.’  Christmas light displays are naturally soothing for Mikey.

And, this family was not messing around. They collected money for charity from everyone who came to visit and it ended up being a fun event for the kids and a blessing to the broader community…it was awesome!

Drive Through

If your child is going through any tough behaviors, consider doing one of the bigger drive-through light exhibits.  They’re usually reasonably priced and you can pack a dinner for the car ride there and some dessert for the ride home.  Will and I took Mikey to one a couple of years ago and he loved it!
