Lifelong Exercise Habit

Flashing Forward to Mikey’s life now, I wanted you to know that sowing the seeds of exercise has been really helpful. Yes, Mikey still struggles with his weight, but his love of walking has been beneficial from a health perspective: helping his mood, sleep and mental health as well as his cardiovascular fitness.

Any exercise that your kids can do for their lifetime is a winner!
- Walking
- Running
- Trampoline jumping
- Weights (either machines or free weights)
- Recumbent bike
- Yoga
- Swimming
- Rowing machine
- Exercise videos (there are some fun ones for kids too)
- Tennis
- Golf

If your child is able and willing to do any of these exercises, go for it! You’re building the foundation of healthy skills and habits and your child will reap the benefits!
