Leap Year?

Cartoon frog, birthday hat, birthday cake, crown and a calendar page February 29th Happy Leap Day!

One thing about sharing Mikey’s journal ten years after he wrote it that I didn’t think about…leap years. 2016 was a leap year, but 2026 is not (obviously since leap years only come around every 4 years).

journal entry from 2016 February 29th. Today is Aunt K’s real birthday. I am going to call her and sing to her. Aunt K’s face obscured with a cartoon frog, surrounded by birthday and leap day stickers.

So, although this is of no particular relevance to parenting a special needs child, I just thought this post was fun.

Happy Birthday

Mikey’s rendition of Happy Birthday is very cute, especially since he never puts the person’s name in. He just repeats the Happy Birthday but hums through the name. LOL! It makes it even better, honestly.
