Journaling Tip

stylized aquarium photos with a dark theme and bubbles everywhere. Friends faces obscured with an old aquarium toy and a cartoon axolotl
A trip to the aquarium with pals was the highlight of Mikey's break.

When Mikey got older, he felt strongly that he have a journal entry for each day.  Up until that point, I often made my life easier by helping him create just one journal entry for the weekend or school vacation.  That way, he could pick his favorite part and I wasn’t running around every day trying to keep up with journaling.

journal entry from Feb 18. 'over break, I went to the aquarium with S and her family. We saw the dragons and the whale IMAX. I felt happy! Photos of the kids posing around the aquarium and a sign for the Humpback Whales IMAX movie.
Note: Our school used to give a half day Friday and then Monday and Tuesday of President’s Day Weekend off. They called it mid-winter break.

We did other fun things over the President’s Day Weekend, but Mikey just chose one to use for his journal entry.  That left me some fun photos to use later in the week to fill in on any weekdays that might be considered uneventful…

Like tomorrow’s entry about sledding with Will. Stay tuned…it’s a cute one.
