Another page of fun from Frog Frolic!
Bounce houses, inflatable obstacle courses and inflatable slides took some time for Mikey to learn. Mostly, Will or one of Mikey’s friends would go up with him and show him what to do. They’re well worth the effort, because they’re great exercise!!
For Mikey, this modeling worked, but these can be challenging for families like ours if the parents are not allowed to go in with the kids. In some of the obstacle courses, there are parts where you can’t see your child from the outside. If you don’t have a sibling or pal who can accompany your child, check with the attendant before your child goes in. They may let you go with your child if he/she needs help.
If there’s a time limit on the bounce house at the fair, give some thought to whether your child can handle getting out when it is time…that took Mikey a while to master. If you’ve practiced using timers, this might be a great use for one.
If your kids are like Mikey, they’ll choose to use all their tickets on the inflatables!
