In the Spotlight

spotlight day in kid handwriting, happy boy sticker on a yellow background with a spotlight shining on him

Each student got an opportunity to bring in a few items to share with the class. When it was Mikey’s turn, I picked out a couple of things that I thought might be fun. I picked one baby thing because by middle school, the kids feel like they were babies sooooo long ago! Then I chose one thing Mikey might have in common with pals…there are sure to be some other kids who like art, right?

Journal entry, ‘For my spotlight day, i brought my baby blanket and a few of my paintings.” Michael’s taggie blanket is pictured and 3 of his watercolor paintings.

Looking at this journal entry, I feel like we had a nice pastel theme going on for Mikey’s spotlight day.
