Ice Bucket Challenge
Remember when this challenge was going around the internet to raise awareness of ALS? It was a great cause, and the kids Will and Mikey’s age were into it. Each person dumped a bucket of icy water on their head and filmed the crazy reaction!
Will wanted to do it so Dave did it with him for fun. We always ask Mikey if he wants to participate and he said he did, but I wasn’t sure he could really understand how shocking and freezing it would be. So, we let him get cold water dumped on him, but we didn’t put in any ice.
This way, Mikey got to be part of the group and he didn’t get shocked and scared by the experience. Win, win.

She holds a BA in Psychology from Colgate University and a Masters of Psychology in Education from Columbia Teacher’s College. Before staying home with her children, she worked as an elementary school teacher. For five years, she served on the Board of Directors of the Molly Ann Tango Memorial Foundation, a charity dedicated to enriching the lives of children with special needs. In partnership with her husband Dave, she aspires to parent by using daily life as an opportunity for therapeutic intervention, seizing on real experiences as opportunities to build skills and strategies for Michael in a joyful, loving home environment. On the tougher early days, she just tried to get everyone safely to bedtime and start fresh in the morning. *wink*
