Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
We have a fun family tradition on St. Patrick’s Day. It’s kind of absurd, but my boys have always loved the silliness of it and Mikey still gets a kick out of it. As with so many things in our lives, as long as my buddy continues to enjoy it, I’ll keep up the tradition. For now, we’re still going strong.
We buy a box of Lucky Charms cereal. Mikey (and Will when he was little) digs out the marshmallows and eats them. Neither of my boys ever liked the cereal, just the marshmallows…it’s only one day a year so I just went with it.
This is 100% definitely, hands-down, the easiest tradition I have ever started. It takes so little work and it brings so much joy.
Wishing you all a wonderful St. Patrick’s Day, however you celebrate. We’ll be wrist-deep in a giant bowl of Lucky Charms if you need us.
