Happy Shark Week
Shark Week is a tradition in our house. We watched it faithfully. At this point, it was very popular and the local grocery store was catching on to the trend.
We picked up this cookie cake and celebrated Shark Week in style!
Spacing
Just a note on putting spaces between words. This is tricky for some little kids and for Mikey it continues to be a challenge. Having your little one put their pointer finger of their non-dominant hand down at the end of each word helps. Then, when they start to write the next word, they have built in their own space (one that is exactly tiny-human pointer finger size). Sometimes we tackled this skill and other times, I let Mikey write independently – as the entries go on, you’ll see that he sometimes has the spaces and sometimes not. We never let the perfect be the enemy of the good.

She holds a BA in Psychology from Colgate University and a Masters of Psychology in Education from Columbia Teacher’s College.
