Happy Halloween!

A busy Halloween back in 2013!

Every Halloween, the elementary school in our town had a Halloween parade. Michael was having a great year and we were so grateful to the school team. My mom was visiting us and the PTA was hosting a fundraiser at a local restaurant. Dave offered to watch the kids and she and I went to the Ladies Night Out event.

There was an auction and one of the things you could bid on was a chance to lead the Halloween parade. My mom locked in on that one. She knew Mikey would love it! Will was in 5th grade at the time which is in the Middle School in our district, otherwise she would have bid on it for both of them. She won the bidding and Mikey got to hold the hand of the school mascot and lead the parade through the school and out to the bus circle, where all the parents were wathing and cheering. He was SO PROUD.

Who’s ready to lead this parade? Mikey!

Back in 2013, Halloween was a Thursday, so the elementary school had their parade and then we went home to rest up and eat some dinner before trick-or-treating. That year, we had a big group and it was lots of fun. Please know that there were also tons of other parents out with us, supervising the kids.

So much fun and so much sugar!

Remember, a quiet celebration is cool too…whatever makes your kiddo happy. However you celebrate it this year, I wish you a very Happy Halloween!
