Halloween Party
I have often written about showing up for each member of your family. In this case, this family included us in their Halloween party because Will was close friends with their son. He was all in! He wanted to show up for his friend and we liked the family a lot, but there wasn’t a pal for Mikey in the mix.
So, true to our word, Dave and I were his friends of last resort that night. While his brother ran around with his friends and had a great time, we threw on some costumes, brought a fun treat to the party and hung out with Mikey and the other parents while Will had fun. We had fun too!
Mikey had a good time too! He colored Halloween pictures, ate delicious treats and went on their swing set in their backyard. Even though we barely saw Will the whole time, he filled us in on his evening on the car ride home. Family event success!
