Great Trip

handwritten 'We had a great trip!' Will and Mikey posing, Mikey and Mimi walking holding hands and the logo for Atlantis, The Lost Empire.

This is one of my favorite vacations of my lifetime!  The photos in this journal entry show clearly why I adored this trip.  My husband, my kids and my mom are the most important people to me in the world.  My stepdad was pretty cool too! Wink.

journal entry. Mikey wrote 'We had a great trip!' and we pasted in 9 photos of the vacation: will and Mikey posing together, Mikey and Mimi walking and holding hands, Mikey swimming with Dave and Will, mikey looking at the aquarium, Mikey standing in the pool with the hotel in the background, Mikey posing in front of a waterfall wearing a SUN AIR SEA rash guard, Mikey and Dave sitting in a beach chairs mikey holding a virgin strawberry daiquiri, mikey grinning in a beach chair and mikey posing with my mom and step dad.

I look at how happy we were, and I remember the fun in my bones!  Mikey enjoying his virgin strawberry daquiris poolside is a detail I had forgotten, but it makes me smile to see it captured in his journal. So much swimming and smiling and sea life…this vacation was made for us!

One Journal Note

When you get back from a trip or a school break, a photo page can be a great journal entry!  Your child doesn’t need to write about every single thing they did on their staycation or journey…just putting some pictures on the page gives them something to share with classmates when the topic of discussion is “What did you do over break?”
