Golf Cart
When Dave’s mom was diagnosed with heart failure, we wanted to make sure she could still come visit us comfortably, especially since Mikey’s First Communion was coming up. We bought a used golf cart to make sure she could get up the hill and enjoy watching the kids in the pool without having to worry about our long climb of outdoor stone steps. We have kept it since she passed and use it for chores like lugging firewood.
Michael, however, fully thinks the golf cart is for him. He loves to take rides up and down our long driveway and in loops around the backyard. We all take turns giving him rides, but this recent photo of Will taking a turn made me smile.
These two are having fun together! As our nuclear family wraps up our “core four family time” before the boys move on to their adult lives, we’re making the most of every minute!

She holds a BA in Psychology from Colgate University and a Masters of Psychology in Education from Columbia Teacher’s College. Before staying home with her children, she worked as an elementary school teacher. For five years, she served on the Board of Directors of the Molly Ann Tango Memorial Foundation, a charity dedicated to enriching the lives of children with special needs. In partnership with her husband Dave, she aspires to parent by using daily life as an opportunity for therapeutic intervention, seizing on real experiences as opportunities to build skills and strategies for Michael in a joyful, loving home environment. On the tougher early days, she just tried to get everyone safely to bedtime and start fresh in the morning. *wink*
