Gingerbread House
In today’s edition of Flash Forward Friday, we get to peek in on the boys decorating last year’s gingerbread house. Will was home from college and the two boys volunteered to decorate the gingerbread house (and eat tons of candy).
I had picked up some chocolates with Christmas Vacation foil wrappers and the two of them put Clark Griswold up in the attic! They crack me up!
The gingerbread house survived the holiday on display last year, which is probably a first. The year before, we made the whole gingerbread house on top of a sheet pan of cake and then proceeded to excavate quickly and start eating right away.
I used to try hard to keep the house on display because I think it looks pretty as a decoration, but I quickly gave up on that hope. Whatever is fun for your family, just go with it. It’s just a gingerbread house, after all.
