Framing

Part of what we do in the journal is provide a framework for events happening in our lives. I suggested this baseball catch because Mikey was getting ready to start his challenger baseball season. I wanted to help him brush up his skills, but also remind him that he really enjoyed baseball last year.

If Mikey hadn’t enjoyed our catch on the driveway, he wouldn’t have chosen to write about it for his journal, but you can tell by his smile that he had a great time! So, the journal provides a physical reminder of how much Mikey enjoys baseball…which is great because there’s a lot of baseball to come this month!
