Float Like a Pro

photo of mikey wearing swim trunks and a rash guard shirt with SUN, AIR, SEA printed on it floating on his back in the pool

Mikey had taken Red Cross swim lessons when he was younger and he was great in the water (he still is). When writing this journal entry, I helped with the phrase ‘like a pro.’ Sometimes we used to try to help Mikey with some slang – nothing too trendy that he would sound weird saying in ten years, but phrases that make language a bit more casual.  Most of it did not really catch on, but that’s okay. He’s able to use his words to ask for what he needs and wants.

This photo does really look very professional. He can even put his arms up overhead. Go, Mikey, go!
