Easter with Family

Easter cards, Easter basket and rainbow peeps (bunny shaped)
Easter with family is just the best!!

We spent the day in New Jersey with Dave’s family. It was a great day for the boys, who loved seeing their cousins!! They came home fully tired out.

Saturday book page with photos of cards, Easter treats and Easter themed toys
Please excuse our water stains…this book has been well-loved over the years.

These are photos I took when we got home. It was challenging to keep a close eye on Mikey in a different environment. When Dave was watching him or he was safely playing, I used the chance to catch up with family and enjoy the moment. I often forgot to take pictures.

I wish I had taken more photos at these gatherings, but I also know that at the time, I needed to let some small things go. Since Mikey started his journal, we certainly have more photos, but there were a few years early on in which I really dropped the ball on that front. Recently, Dave found an old drive with lots of photos from that time on his computer and I was so happy, I nearly cried.

If you’re just starting your parenting journey, there are so many happy memories to be made in the years ahead!! Treasure every one! It is so true that the days are long and the years are short.  I am just months away from having two kids in their twenties…WOW! That’s crazy.
