Driveway Hockey

Building on what our children love is a time-tested parenting strategy. Mikey had recently been to his first hockey game, and he had been exposed to floor hockey in his PE classes at school. Dave and Will loved to play hockey out on the driveway and on this spring night, they invited Mikey to join them. Dave passed the puck to Mikey. Will let Mikey take shots on the net. They had a blast!

Looking back, I can’t believe I was happily taking photos while my car was parked directly in the line of fire. I got lucky that no car windows were broken in the creation of this happy memory. Wink.
