Documentaries

A documentary about Lego? Count us in!

I know I have shared how we love nature documentaries. In truth, we watch lots of documentaries. This one was on the Lego corporation and our boys found it very interesting.  What young kid would not want to work at Lego? I want to work there, despite the fact that I have none of the skills needed for any of the jobs (unless they need someone to make snacks and coffee in the break room…Lego, call me).

journal entry from July 29 2014. "Will and I watched Inside Lego together." photo of the boys watching with Will's arm around Mikey and Mikey chewing on his shirt
Mikey went through a long phase of chewing on his tee shirts…I’ll write about this soon.

Those of you who have followed along from the beginning know we love Little Mammoth Media, which has documentaries for kids, narrated by kids.  In the past, our library had them on DVD and we loved them.

National Geographic and Disney Nature have amazing videos available for streaming that bring the natural world directly into your home.  They are mesmerizing. I wouldn’t worry about whether the topic seems too complicated for your child.  Mikey enjoyed watching Mythbusters and I barely understand some of the topics they research on that show.
