Disney Trip

Winnie the Pooh and Friends go in the Mikey Hall of Fame!

Winnie the Pooh has been a constant source of joy in our lives! We have watched Disney Channel cartoons, enjoyed movies, read books, played with toys and thanks to the generosity of family, even met the characters in person.

Mikey's journal entry from Nov 26, 2013. When I was a baby, we went to Disney World. I met Winnie the Pooh and his friends. Photo of baby Mikey with Piglet.
Thanks for the hug, Piglet, I get worried sometimes too.

Winnie the Pooh is a true gift and AA Milne should be smiling down on us from heaven with pride for the joy he has brought to so many generations of readers.

If you choose to do a journal with your child, don’t make it a pressure-filled experience.  On days when you don’t have anything journal appropriate…and, let’s take a minute…it’s okay. Some days are the most awful. It doesn’t mean you or your child are awful, it just means it was a bad day…that’s all.

On the days when it is the most awful, pick a photo of a happy memory.  On this day, I didn’t even have the time to scan this photo. I pasted the hard copy and he wrote about it. I can’t remember the specifics of what that day was like. I doubt Michael remembers it. But, we chose a happy memory and focused on that.

For my reasoning on keeping it positive, here’s a link to a previous article.
