Decorating the Tree

Spoiler Alert: If you let the kids decorate the tree, there will be 36 ornaments clustered on 5 of the branches directly at their height…leave time to spread those babies out after the kids are in bed.

Pro Tip:
I put the breakable ornaments near the top of the tree first. Then the kids were allowed to go crazy with the whole bottom half of the tree. I pack the fragile ornaments separately so I can do that box myself before the kids are let loose with all the fun ornaments.
You know how I feel about this. Making a plan like this one allows you to be calmer during the process and let the kids have some fun with their part. You can enjoy their enthusiasm and even have a moment or two to take some photos. Wink.
